Anthony Weiner is not the only one with some words for hot-tempered Staten Island Congressman Michael Grimm. On The Daily Show last night, Jon Stewart compared Grimm to a “thug in a Batman film” for his threats against a reporter after the State of the Union. (“To be fair, ‘I will throw you off this f*cking balcony’ is a relatively standard and traditional Staten Island good-bye,” said Stewart.) But that wasn’t even the worst part: “It’s that he went after a NY1 reporter. NY1 is the pulse of our city, from the latest theater openings to the latest subway closings.” Pat Kiernan was pleased.
“It gives us weather on the ones,” Stewart continued, relishing his chance to get extra local. “The ones! Not the twos. Because the twos is for suckers, for losers, for f*cking Philadelphia.”
