Mindong Chen, the man accused of fatally stabbing his cousin’s wife and four children in Sunset Park last October, will be committed to a psychiatric facility after two doctors found him unfit to stand trial. The 26-year-old Chinese immigrant is said to be “exhibiting symptoms of a severe mental illness,” but doctors didn’t disclose a specific diagnosis. According to court papers revealed Monday, he told police he killed the family because they tried to move him from their home to a place in Flushing. “I didn’t like staying there because it was too loud. So I argued and took a knife to them,” he said, adding, “This happened tonight because I was thinking about not having a wife and job.”
