In setting up his Coloradoan video report on the ease of buying newly legal weed, reporter Trevor Hughes describes himself as “kind of a square. Probably a little bit of a fuddy-duddy.” Yeah, um, kind of. He bought a gram of weed on his paper’s expense account and then turned it over to the sheriff to be destroyed. The video’s interesting enough (and Hughes is rather charming, fuddiness aside), but if you don’t have three minutes, basically the report involves him making a purchase at a pot club, keeping it sealed, then delivering it to the sheriff’s department for destruction, as he had promised the boss. Bummer, dude.
