The NYPD is reportedly making a special effort to “find the source” of the drugs found in the late actor’s West Village home over the weekend. “An internal email went out to all supervisors asking if anyone has had any experience with those brand names of drugs,” a law-enforcement source told the New York Post. Hoffman was discovered dead of an apparent overdose on Sunday, with 44 baggies of heroin marked “Ace of Hearts” and “Ace of Spades” in the apartment. Last week, a heroin bust in the Bronx turned up a variety of brand stamps including “Lady Gaga,” “iPhone,” “NFL,” and “Government Shutdown.”
