Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has had a year to think about things since he was indicted on 21 conspiracy, bribery, fraud, and money-laundering charges. Now that he’s been convicted on 20 of those, and faces more than 20 years in federal prison, he seems to have come to terms with his fate. “I’ve been at peace with this for a long time. I’m good,” he told the Associated Press before court on Wednesday. All those tropical vacations paid for by a businessman really seem to have mellowed him out.
