Can you believe it’s been a year already since fluffy ball of human emotion Banana Joe secured the title of Best in Show from the Westminster Kennel Club’s dog show? That means the Most Important Dogs in the World are back on the floor at Madison Square Garden and the Chelsea Piers, where 190 breeds and varieties represented by an expected 2,845 contestants make this the biggest show since 1990. Our slideshow merely scratches the surface of this adorable lot.

Joe the affenpinscher has reportedly retired to his native Netherlands, so this year’s favorites are a fox terrier named Sky and a Portuguese water dog named Matisse, Westminster spokesman David Frei told Reuters. But just look at the following lineup of prize-worthy puppies and try to tell us they’re not all your favorite.
