Handy Thieves Cut Their Way Into Neighbor’s Apartment

Photo: NYPD

Some enterprising, tool-wielding thieves, who were not exactly lithe, athletic types, cut through the floor of an apartment in the Bronx last week so they could burglarize the downstairs neighbor. Unlike every heist movie ever, where they tunnel into a bank vault, these guys just managed to get access to someone’s house, so they made off with “cash and a laptop computer,” according to a police press release. The photos of the three men (two of them pretty big guys to be climbing through ceiling holes) show them carrying garbage bags full of stuff, which the New York Post identified as “computer equipment, clothing and cash.” Time for security bars on the ceiling, then?
