High winds knocked out the power for 4,600 customers in the Washington area on Wednesday night, including the Capitol Building. While the interior lights never went out, those that illuminate the Capitol dome went dark at about 8:30 p.m. They were repaired in about half an hour, but there was just enough time for everyone to tweet a dumb joke about everyone in Congress being dim and/or nonfunctional.
