Mark Sanchez Signs With Philadelphia Eagles, Completing Quarterback Swap

Less than a week after he was released by the Jets, Mark Sanchez has passed a physical and agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, taking a spot vacated by new Jets quarterback Michael Vick. The move to the Eagles, which has been rumored all week, comes with a bit of a demotion for Sanchez, who missed all of last season following shoulder surgery. Eagles coach Chip Kelly recently declared that Nick Foles is their “starting quarterback for the next 1,000 years,” so Sanchez will be competing with Matt Barkley for the No. 2 spot. On the other hand, we’re sure Sanchez is thrilled that his mostly green wardrobe is still usable.
