A 22-year-old Manhattan woman handed over more than $200,000 in “property, cash, gift cards and other means” to a midtown psychic who “claimed to have the power to cleanse this individual of a curse and solicited the money to cleanse said curse,” according to recent grand larceny charges. Being rich and gullible is its own kind of curse.
