Rob Ford Attempted to Turn Back Time

TORONTO, ON - NOVEMBER 5: Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, backed by brother Councillor Doug Ford (left) on November 5, 2013, speaks to the media following this morning's admission of having smoked crack. Ford did not step down, and said that city business must go on.

On Saturday evening, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who probably appreciates an extra hour of sleep, tweeted to remind his constituents and the thousands of people who follow him because he got caught smoking crack to “turn your clocks back and change batteries in smoke alarms” for Daylight Saving Time. Of course, in March we turn our clocks forward (“spring forward!”), not back. (The part about the batteries was good advice for those hoping to avoid dying in a fire.) The mistake was soon corrected and blamed on a staffer, who seems to be learning a lot from his boss.
