New York’s civil servants turned against each other early Sunday morning after an NYPD officer busted a Department of Corrections employee for enjoying a drink outside of Inwood’s 809 Sangria Bar and Grill: NBC New York reports that 28-year-old Kelvin Lorenzo refused to be handcuffed and began struggling.

According to CBS 2, one of Lorenzo’s pals, 30-year-old public-school teacher Nicole Lucie, then jumped on the cop’s back and “[attempted] to choke him with a lanyard.” As that happened, their other friend, 27-year-old NYPD Communications Department employee Krismeli Cuilan, allegedly pushed another sergeant. When it was all over, the three were arrested for combinations of assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and obstructing governmental administration. The officer was treated for “minor neck injuries.” Nobody ever said that working for the city of New York was glamorous.
