In the last two months, the same thief has taken valuable things from at least seven “victims in their 20s” who were eating or otherwise chilling at NYU-adjacent establishments such as Think Coffee, the West 4th Street Starbucks, and the East 8th Street Chipotle, as well as a campus building on University place. Most of the stolen property has been “unattended” laptops and bags, WABC notes. Stealing isn’t cool, but neither is making yourself an easy target.
