Rob Ford Had Another Bizarre Night Out in Toronto

Still-in-office Toronto Mayor Rob Ford had another crazy-sounding Saturday night in Toronto. According to the Toronto Star, Ford and Budget Chief Frank Di Giorgio were enjoying a Toronto Maple Leafs game at the Air Canada Centre when a member of the security staff reportedly had to ask the mayor to “control himself.” As a result, Twitter erroneously burst with rumors that he’d been kicked out of the game (which has happened before). Even more bizarrely, Di Giorgio lost Ford after the game, telling a reporter over the phone, “I just don’t know exactly where the hell he is. But I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

In fact, Ford had gone back to his office, where reporters tweeted of “a bizarre burnt rubber smell wafting through the City Hall rotunda.” He was then spotted posing for selfies at Muzik nightclub at around 2:00 a.m. While it’s unclear whether Ford was intoxicated (he was holding a Dasani bottle at the game), he reportedly left his Escalade at City Hall and took a cab to the club. Ford’s chief of staff, Dan Jacobs, did not respond to the Star’s request for comment, and a police officer said he hadn’t “heard anything” about officers responding to an incident at the game. What is clear is that this is one man who knows how to have a good time. So, how was your Saturday night?
