When Daily Intelligencer spoke with Christine O’Donnell two years after her unsuccessful Senate run in 2010, the Delaware tea partier she said she was open to the idea of running again. Today her former opponent, Senator Chris Coons, has yet to find a Republican challenger for the midterm election, but O’Donnell has changed her tune. When The News Journal asked O’Donnell on Thursday if she’s given thought to running this year, she said a rematch is “highly unlikely,” adding that she’d “rather slam [her] hand in a car door.”
