Last year, the borough saw more canine-on-postal-worker violence than any other place in the tristate area, according to a survey conducted by the USPS. Eighteen Brooklyn dogs went after their humans’ brave mailmen in 2013, while only 14 did so in Queens (Flushing, specifically). But the rate of local attacks pales in comparison to what goes on in cities where most people have a yard: Houston’s dogs led the nation by attacking 63 mailmen, and the hounds of L.A. came in at a close second with 61. Don’t tell any household pets about email, or your phone could be next.
