The unfortunate relationship between warmer weather and increased violence held strong over the weekend. In between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, at least 13 people were struck by bullets in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Upper Manhattan. Luckily, no one was killed, but the victims included several teenagers, as well as a 54-year-old woman who got in the way when a gunman shot at a group of 30-something men at a Crown Heights Park. One of the incidents took place at an East New York memorial for Tyquan Jamison, a 15-year-old who was shot to death in the summer of 2010.
