Creative Smuggler Hid Pounds of Cocaine in Suitcase Handle Rails, Still Got Caught

A man passing through customs at JFK earlier this month was busted with nearly five pounds of cocaine in his unusually thick suitcase handle rails. U.S. citizen Warren Hawk was returning home from Guyana when officers noticed something strange about his luggage. He was taken to a room where the rails were probed and revealed $82,000 of hidden cocaine. As far as inventive drug-smuggling techniques go, this one ranks near the top. Certainly above underwear and weaves, but not quite as ingenious as goat meat
