Australian Tim Cahill, who lives in New Jersey and plays for the New York Red Bulls, scored the goal of the World Cup thus far earlier today in the Socceroos’$2 3–2 defeat by the Netherlands. The goal came in the 21st minute, right after Arjen Robben broke the scoreless tie for the Dutchmen. Midfielder Tim McGowan floated an expertly placed pass into the box and Cahill delivered it into the back of the net without ever letting it touch the ground. After two games, Australia now has zero points and little chance of advancing beyond the group stage. But they’ll always have these GIFs.
