The United States already knew it would be playing in the World Cup’s Round of 16 next week, and now it knows its opponent: The Americans will play Group H winner Belgium next Tuesday at 4 p.m. Eastern. Belgium, which won all three of its games so far, clinched the top spot in its group today with a 1-0 victory over South Korea, despite playing much of the game with ten men as a result of a first-half red card to Steven Defour. Time to start practicing your “I need to leave work early” cough, in preparation for next week.
