The U.K.’s intrepid left-of-center paper has issued a staff decree on reports of rising anti-Semitism in Europe. Just like not all Muslims were responsible for 9/11, the editorial board writes, not all Jews are responsible for Israel’s policies: “though the cases are not equivalent, the same logic applies here.” (The subtext being, please, Europe — stop burning their temples.) We can’t imagine the Al Qaeda comparison will go over well, but we appreciate the effort.
