Sixteen-year-old swimming sensation Charlotte Samuels became the youngest person ever to complete the Triple Crown of open-water swimming on Monday, when she crossed the English Channel in just nine hours and 54 minutes. The New Jersey native had already crossed California’s Catalina Channel and swam around the island of Manhattan to clinch the honor, which previously went to Australian Lachlan Hinds, who completed the challenge at age 18.
