A science teacher at P.S. 249 the Caton School is being arraigned by the Kings County district attorney on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Omil Carrasquillo, 36, allegedly groped or fondled five girls ages 9 to 11 in seven separate incidents, according to a press release from the D.A.
The school removed Carrasquillo from the classroom and fired him Friday as soon as it learned of the charges. He’s being held on bail and will appear again in court on September 30.
