A 32-year-old woman was sexually assaulted twice in one hour in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, reports Gothamist.
The unnamed victim was walking through Clinton Hill around 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 31 when the first suspect told her he had a gun, forced her down, and sexually assaulted her. Less than an hour later, around 6 a.m., a second assailant shoved her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
The NYPD are looking into the possibility that the two men are connected, as the crimes are remarkably similar and occurred so close together.
“Both incidents bear extreme similarities, so we aren’t ruling that out [that one suspect tipped off the other],” one source told the New York Post. “The similarities [between both sexual assaults] are hard to ignore.”
