People dressed up as creepy clowns are running around the San Joaquin Valley in California, causing trouble and stirring up your worst nightmares about grown men in face paint. Happy Halloween!
On Saturday, at around 8 p.m., Bakersfield police officers were called to a scene where tipsters say they spotted a guy dressed as a clown brandishing a firearm. The incident capped off a week that saw several calls “about scary or mischievous clowns,” reports the AP. One clown was caught and turned out to be a teen who dressed up in the outfit to freak out other kids.
And you thought Ebola was scary.
