In a talk with former colleague David Carr at Boston University, fired New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson revealed that she’s following in the footsteps of various journalism wunderkinds and planning her own start-up with entrepreneur Steve Brill. According to WBUR’s tweets, they plan to publish “one big story a year,” with the goal of doing “killer journalism … offering great journalists real money that they can live on.” Video of the talk will be broadcast on Tuesday night, so we’ll have to wait for more details … actually, when it comes to Abramson’s future ventures, just prepare to do a lot of waiting.
