U.S. troops returning from West Africa will be kept in supervised isolation for 21 days, according to the AP. There are currently about 1,000 troops on Ebola missions there. The new rule is stricter than the one applied to civilians returning from West Africa, but “President Barack Obama has made clear he feels the military’s situation is different from that of civilians, in part because troops are not in West Africa by choice.”
