Two and a half years after her emotional ouster from the Today show, Ann Curry is finally done with NBC. The New York Post’s “Page Six” first reported Curry’s plans to depart from the network on Tuesday, with one source saying, “Ann has been unhappy for a long time because she’s basically doing nothing, while NBC is unhappy that she has been paid a lot of money to do nothing.”

Indeed, Curry hasn’t been very visible during her post-Today tenure as an international correspondent and anchor-at-large, possibly because NBC didn’t think she could handle live interviews. So, what’s next? “Page Six” says that Curry will be starting a “production company to provide news reports and documentaries to numerous outlets, including NBC.” Or she can just bank the results of her reported $12 million a year contract with the network and never talk to it again.
