Two women pursuing a civil case against former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn alongside a criminal trial for “aggravated pimping” have decided to drop their suit, according to the BBC. The former sex workers were seeking damages for allegedly being sexually assaulted by DSK during an orgy party. The two plaintiffs, known as Jade and Mounia, still strongly believe that DSK knew they were prostitutes, but “just holding that belief certainly does not prove that a law was broken,” their lawyer said. DSK’s prosecutors are expected to make their final arguments today in his criminal trial.
