New York held its annual Gay Pride Parade on Sunday, roughly 48 hours after the Supreme Court ruled same-sex marriage a national right. Thousands and thousands of people showed up to celebrate, which meant that the NYPD was out in full force. As you can see from this video, at least one member of the department got into the spirit of things, joining a reveler for some grinding to Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.” Would it have been more fun if the cop turned out to be a stripper? Maybe — but the incident served as a nice reminder of the progress the city has made since Stonewall.
