Joe Biden has said several times that he’s still deciding if he has “the emotional energy” to run in 2016 following the death of his son, Beau, and some recent reports have suggested that his wife, Jill Biden, is hesitant to hit the campaign trail again. But on Sunday, NBC News reported that the second lady is behind the VP either way, and her communications director confirmed that’s the case. “Of course Dr. Biden would be onboard if her husband decides to run for president but they haven’t made that decision yet,” said James Gleeson. While there were rumors that Biden would make that decision by the end of the month, the process may actually take much longer. Politico reports that he may decide to wait to see if Hillary Clinton’s campaign implodes, and could even make the final call in the spring.
