New York’s Pro Soccer Club Unveils Redesigned Jersey by Showing Up at Fans’ Jobs

Andrea Pirlo shows off NYCFC’s new alternate jersey.

The New York City Football Club, the Major League Soccer team that plays its home matches at Yankee Stadium, announced earlier this week that it will wear a new jersey for road games during the upcoming 2016 season. To unveil it, NYCFC told some fans they were being filmed for a documentary and then, once the cameras were rolling, had players from the team unexpectedly show up at their workplaces wearing the new duds.

The fans in the video seem pretty into the new look, so perhaps the lesson here is that people can get excited about their favorite team’s jerseys even if they have an ad on them.
