Scott Brown, the former Massachusetts senator who almost defeated Obamacare before getting defeated by Elizabeth Warren, will endorse Donald Trump at a rally Tuesday night, the Washington Post reports.

Brown is a moderately conservative — but extremely handsome — Republican who tried and failed to oust New Hampshire’s incumbent Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen in 2014. Though Brown wasn’t quite popular enough to represent the Granite State in the higher chamber, his endorsement should give Trump a boost in next week’s primary. After a disappointing showing in Iowa, the mogul needs to make sure his polling advantage in New Hampshire translates into an actual victory next week.

As the Post’s Robert Costa notes, Trump complimented Brown’s good looks at an event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in January, going on to suggest the former senator would make a great vice-president. At that rally, Brown said he would weigh three factors when selecting a candidate to endorse:

Somebody who is not afraid to make a decision and doesn’t always follow the polls; sometimes who will be politically incorrect and will do what’s best for this country. … Someone also who is not afraid to admit when they’re wrong.”

Well, two out of three ain’t bad.
