No, Donald Trump Wasn’t Buried in Central Park Last Night

Nobody will say who placed a tombstone with Donald Trump’s name etched into it in Central Park this weekend, but you’ve already lost your chance to pay your respects. The memorial, bearing Trump’s year of birth (but not his year of death, possibly because there isn’t one yet), was discovered in the Sheep Meadow yesterday. It was removed overnight and, according to a Central Park spokesperson, is no longer on the park’s grounds. The epitaph read “Made America Hate Again.”

ABC News reports that the Secret Service wouldn’t say whether it considered the tombstone a death threat. “We’re not going to comment on protective procedures or protective knowledge like that,” Martin Mulholland, the special agent in charge of the Secret Service’s office of public affairs, told the network. The death of any remaining dignity in the GOP race, however, has been confirmed.
