Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has arranged to meet with Glenn Beck and other conservative media leaders in attempt to assuage their concerns over a Gizmodo report that Facebook was downplaying conservative news subjects from its Trending Topics feature. Glenn Beck announced on Sunday morning, in a Facebook post no less, that he was attending a Wednesday meeting at the company’s Menlo Park headquarters at the request of Zuckerberg’s office. Beck wrote that “Mark wanted to meet with 8 or ten of us [conservatives] to explain what happened and assure us that it won’t happen again.” A Facebook spokesman confirmed to CNN’s Brian Stelter that invitations had also been sent to Fox News host Dana Perino and former Romney campaign digital director Zac Moffatt, and other news organizations report that Facebook has invited about a dozen people to the meeting in all.
