Trump: We Need a Commander-in-Chief Who Sends Angry Tweets at 3 a.m.

Donald Trump got an early start Friday morning, waking up at 3 a.m. to share his reflections on the perils of anonymous sourcing in political journalism.

By 5 a.m., the Republican nominee was providing his followers with sex-tape recommendations.

These tweets led some to imagine the mogul sitting alone and angry in the predawn darkness, his Android phone the room’s only light. A few haters (and/or losers) found this scene pathetic, and informed Trump of their opinion.

On Friday afternoon, Trump responded:

Trump’s comment references a famous ad from Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign, in which the Democratic nominee highlighted Barack Obama’s relative inexperience, by asking voters, “It’s 3 a.m. and your children are asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?”

The Republican nominee apparently thinks that, for most Americans, the answer is “A 70-year-old reality star who’s been up all night drafting tweets about how a woman he psychologically abused is a virtueless slut.
