Profile

Between 1962 and 1972, George Lois designed 92 covers for Esquire, including some of the most familiar—and provocative—images of the age: an arrow-riddled Muhammad Ali posing as St. Sebastian, Andy Warhol drowning in a can of Campbell's Soup, a mustachioed Svetlana Stalin. Visit MoMA's third-floor exhibition for a time warp back to your salad days.
