Nearly 100 paintings, gathered mostly from the three partner institutions with the world’s greatest concentration of the artist’s works: the Guggenheim, Centre Pompidou, and Lenbachhaus in Munich. This is the first full-scale retrospective of Kandinsky’s career in the U.S. since 1985, when the Guggenheim presented a trio of exhibitions of the artist’s life and work in Munich, Russia, and Paris.
