Larry Gagosian kicks off fall as only he could with this big show of abstract, eighties de Kooning on the tenth anniversary of the artist’s death. Curator Klaus Kertess pairs these later works with a handful of de Kooning’s signature canvases from the forties, fifties, and late seventies, tracing the progression of his aesthetic and gestural technique.
