This 25,000 square foot, self-described “workspace” in East Williamsburg, 3rd Ward is an impressive, labyrinthine complex of studios and galleries. Exposed brick, hardwood halls wind their way to a wide array of well-equipped spaces where an equal number of forms of creative find expression: There's a wood- and metal-shop; four natural sun-lit photo studios; a shiny, Mac-equipped computer lab; and a Pro Tools equipped recording space, to start. Membership isn’t required but the clientele is encouraged to join for the perks and discounts. The in-house galleries have been known to host multimedia exhibitions, short film screenings, and even classical and avant-garde music concerts. Party nights, get a little funkier with Lego building, croquet games, and trashy dance parties.
