Located in what was once the New York Times newsroom, the Discovery exhibition space is a quiet, enlightening retreat from the ever-busy Times Square that offers a New York home to traveling exhibits. Visitors are reminded of building’s former tenant as they enter the basement, where old Times archive photos surround the special exhibition entry lines. As for those exhibitions, Discovery can accommodate two at a time, and visitors can view either one individually or see both for a combined price. The exhibits housed here tend toward the educational: Subjects have included the history of espionage, terra-cotta warriors, da Vinci’s workshop, and the Titanic.
