6 at Bleecker St.
This eccentric venue is the New York reincarnation of a gallery that first opened in Chicago in the mid-80s, moving east by the end of that roaring decade. It's a fun spot for sculpture, such as the handmade, crude geometric wonders of Vincent Fecteau and Bruce Brosnan's pop-y planes of color. The gallery also represents cult photographer and filmmaker Richard Kern, who knows how to mix the glamour pin-up with slash-and-burn punk. Feature Inc can be hit-or-miss, but when it's on, it's on.
