Profile
Unsurprisingly given the owners are expats from Germany and Italy, the emphasis in this gallery is young and international. Among the stable of artists are Czech-born photographer Jitka Hanzlova who showed her series Rokytnik (documenting her return to her homeland after years of exile in Germany); and Chloe Piene who made her breakthrough in the 2004 Whitney Biennial with aggressively physical (if somewhat dated) video performance tapes. You can also find some of the old-guard—and perhaps even more hardcore—performance artists like Valie Export here.
