Government name Robert John Burck, the stalwart gimmick has been serenading the Times Square tourist market with his star-spangled guitar for nearly a decade now, parlaying his shtick into small appearances in music videos (Cake’s “Short Skirt, Long Jacket”) and movies (New York Minute).
