Hanging out at this derelict one-room operation is like lapping up the creamy middle of an Oreo cookie. It can’t be good for you, but damn if you want to stop. It says a lot about a bar with no hard-liquor license when saketinis are eschewed in favor of Jell-O shots made with Mad Dog 20/20. The kitsch factor is off the charts: Yellow walls sport an old school Farrah Fawcett poster (dating back to owner Joe Borzotta’s adolescence) and the bar menu consists solely of microwavable White Castle cheeseburgers. In the VIP booth, a large, stuffed SpongeBob SquarePants chills solo behind a velvet rope. What ties the whole operation together is the music. A rotating DJ roster cuts wax Tuesday through Saturday with a focus on seventies soul and eighties new wave. The crowd varies nightly, but generally these young pups are more than willing to move the few bar stools and tall tables from the center of the room so they can dance like rabid canines.

Extra

Trademark Drink: Doggystyle Cosmo (Mad Dog 20/20, cranberry juice, lime juice)
