Space can be tight, (despite the additional square footage of a roof deck), so you'll have to either shimmy around that support beam in the middle of the dance floor or duck-walk past the DJ booth. Crowds tend to be collegiate, with a sprinkling of pedophilic gawkers willing to dance to new wave, soul or whatever's blaring on an average weekend night. — Ken Miller

Attitiude free dance club with roofdeck in Greenwich Village

Overall Rating: 10 (Highly Recommended)

2 indoor floors each with its own DJ, dance floor, bar and lounge PLUS a rooftop area with a bar and seating areas. Everyone that works here is always super friendly and both staff and customers are untypically attitude free.

my sister wanted to have a birthday party held at bar 13, and the one accommodating person we spoke to agreed to keep a list of her guests so they wouldn't have to pay a cover charge to get in. when she called back with her list the next day, a rude man with a south asian accent said that no one at bar 13 would ever have agreed to such a thing, wouldn't let us speak to anyone else, and hung up on us. later, when we tried to go and straighten out the situation in person, the greeter would not let us speak to anyone, saying that they were too busy (it was 5 pm and no one was there yet). i don't think this place likes to party.
