The old lady bartenders who once kept East Chinatown's few remaining Bowery bums company are long gone, and their bar is now a neighborhood "nightclub." But the musty, brick-walled space still has that certain je ne sais quoi that screams "basement!", with the pool table providing a rec-room vibe.
