The schizo space that housed homo haunt Wonder Bar until it became the dive Duck Bar has returned to its gay roots. Beyond the velvet-draped entrance that’s guarded by a bouncer with the detached poise of a KGB officer, a marquee’s worth of burlesque red light bulbs adorn a jewel-box in which faux-hawked locals and hoodie-clad Chelsea boys flirt their way into communal oblivion while imbibing drinks that are priced for the Cold War.
