Profile

This venue is closed.

As a cover band belts out a bland-as-butter version of "Ramblin' Man" from a porch-like stage in the far corner of this cavernous, 2,000-square-foot bar, you may be tempted to tell the neon pig on the wall, "When it comes time for leaving, I hope you understand." After all, unless you're a tourist taking a load off after a visit to the nearby World Trade Center site, the thrown-together kitsch (a hammerhead shark, old-time license plates, etc.) can do only so much to keep you at one of the grease-coated tables peppered throughout this brick-walled space. Weekdays, a smattering of construction workers, firemen, and corporate-ladder low-rungers belly up to the long wood-paneled bar to milk the happy hour for all its worth: cheap domestic pints and a free buffet of chicken wings, chicken fingers, nachos, and finger sandwiches. BBQ grub like blackened catfish and tough-as-nails pulled pork is available for dinner.

Skip the Nachos

For a taste of real cheese, you should watch the live band Human Karaoke Experience lure aspiring Don Henleys onto the stage.
