The former after-hours club once known as Nikki & Sam’s—and then briefly as 83 Worth—has gone legit. Sort of. Gone are the mirrored walls that told of a raunchy gay disco. Gone are the beds that suggested an outright brothel. In their place comes a dance floor gussied up by Doric columns and elegant chandeliers, some plush leather couches, a long bar lit up by neon, and a handful of raised nooks easily sealed off by silk curtains for the price of a seriously cheap bottle of Moët or Alize. If you’re not getting off clandestinely therein, you may have thoughts of doing so soon as women are encouraged to bare all thanks to rotating drink specials and cash rewards—not to mention the pounding hip-hop that’s occasionally mashed up with South Asian beats for the persistent Desis. You almost wonder, is this an unannounced casting call for a sequel to A Night at the Roxbury?
ExtraAfter 10 p.m., charge varies ($3-$40).
